Last Updated: 6/7/2014

Issue:

When a MimioVote or other wireless system is in use, NEO 2 laptops and Renaissance Responders are unable to communicate with the Renaissance Wireless Server. You may also see the following error when trying to start the Wireless Server.

ďAn exception of class OutOfBoundsException was not handled. The application must shut down. ď

Reason:

Mimio and other wireless systems such as interactive whiteboards send out generic discovery packets in certain situations that cause the Renaissance Wireless Server to crash. This interrupts communication between the NEO 2 laptop and the Renaissance Wireless Server.

Resolution:

This issue has been addressed in the Renaissance Wireless Server v1.8.5 or higher. The latest version of the Wireless Server is included in the latest version of NEO Manager*, which is available as a free download from http://www.renaissance.com/Customer-Center/neo-downloads.

*Beginning March 5, 2010, NEO Manager replaced AlphaSmart Manager 2.
