If you are still running one of the affected versions under
the Reason section, please contact Renaissance Learning Technical Support for
upgrade details. If you are not able to upgrade your software at this time, you
may install an updated AccelScanUSBDriver.kext extension using the steps below.
Follow the steps below to upgrade the
AccelScanUSBDriver.kext extension to version 2.0:
1)
to download the AccelScanKext2.0.dmg. It will download to the location set in
your browser preferences. By default this is normally the Desktop.
2) Double click on the AccelScanKext2.0.dmg. This will open the
AccelScanKext2.0 volume. (This may already have opened in the foreground
depending on browser settings.)
3) Double click on the AccelScanUSBDriver.pkg. This will launch
the AccelScanUSBDriver Installer. Click [Continue].
4) Select your Macintosh Hard Drive and click [Continue].
5) Click [Upgrade]. Then authenticate using your local
workstation Administrator username and password. Click [OK].
6) Click [Continue Installation] to start the upgrade. The alert notifies you that a restart is
required after installation.
7) Click [Restart] when installation is complete.
Once the system is
restarted, your AccelScan 2110 or 2210 USB scanner should be detected but you
may need to select the USB port in Scanner Settings.
