STAR
Math 2.1 has been enhanced in the following ways:
1) Allows
STAR Math to be run natively on a Macintosh OS X workstation. For specific
information on supported versions of OS X, see KB article #2446510.
2) Resolves
an issue described in KB article #3223665,
where students that receive a Scaled Score of exactly 340 are given an
inappropriate library recommendation.

STAR
Math 2.01 has been enhanced in the following ways:
This update addresses the issue of the
management application closing out unexpectedly when duplicate students are
imported into the program, and the user opts to combine the test records for
the students.

STAR Math 2.0
has been enhanced in the following ways:
1) STAR Math was re-normed in the Spring of 2002 to ensure the
most accurate measure of math growth.
2) There are over 500 new test questions, including questions
for grades 1 and 2, and algebra.
3) The upgrade includes new and enhanced reports for more
effective, targeted instruction. The new Accelerated Math Library report
recommends a library for the student based on their STAR Math test scores.
4) STAR Math can now be used in grades 1 and 2.
5) A dual list box has been added to
simplify the enrollment process.
6) Change Enrollment functionality was added to allow you to
transfer a student to a new class without having to unenroll the student and
reenroll the student.
7) The program now allows class and teacher names up to 69
characters, including spaces and hyphens.
8)
Beginning with version 2.0, STAR Math Management and Student
programs automatically detect and update system files, which might interfere
with data transmission across a network.
The program replaces unstable versions of the VREDIR.VXD and VNETSUP.VXD
files on Windows 95 computers. If a computer is running the Novell NetWare
Client, the program will check the Client Advanced Settings and update them to
the recommended values. STAR Math will
also check the Novell NetWare Client version to be sure it is compatible. Any changes made to system files or settings
will require the computer to be restarted.

STAR Math 1.2
has been enhanced in the following ways:
1)
During
installation, STAR Math 1.2 automatically updates the Vredir.vxd and Vnetsup.vxd
files on Windows 95 computers. The older versions of these two system files
could possibly cause some data corruption in Windows NT and Windows Peer to
Peer networks. For additional
information on the Vredir.vxd and Vnetsup.vxd, see article #1634981.
2)
STAR
Math 1.2 installs an autoupdater that will allow you to easily upgrade to the
next version of STAR Math (the autoupdater is included in STAR Math 1.2, but
will not be activated until the next release of STAR Math).
3) If you are sharing databases with Accelerated Math,
Accelerated Reader 5.x or 6.x, Accelerated Vocabulary, Accelerated Writer,
Accelerated Grammar & Spelling, MathFacts in a Flash, STAR Reading 2.x,
Perfect Copy, Perfect Copy High School, or STAR Early Literacy, you can use the
Duplicate Class feature to copy a class and its enrollment from one of these
other products to STAR Math. To use the Duplicate Class feature, click on the Go menu and choose Classes. Then, from the Classes management screen, click the Classes menu and choose Duplicate. This will start a wizard (or
Assistant if you are using a Macintosh) that will help you choose the class you
want to duplicate.
4) Data Doctor has been updated to address a Y2K issue in
previous versions, where data was not being repaired if it had been used in the
year 2000 or later. Please see article
#2362424
for more information.
