This article only applies to Renaissance Place Real Time applications.

 

Issue:

 

An alert on the login page is prompting me to update one of the components required for Renaissance Place.

 

Reason:

 

Either the computer’s operating system, the browser you are using, or Adobe Flash Player do not meet the technical recommendations for Renaissance Place Real Time. Note: Adobe Flash Player is required to access the Renaissance Place Dashboard, and for students to use AR, English in a Flash, MathFacts in a Flash, and the STAR programs.

 

Resolution:

 

Review the Renaissance Place Real Time Technical Recommendations and compare your operating system, browser, and Adobe Flash Player version with our requirements. Note the “Technology Notification” alert will be displayed on the login page if your version of these technologies is above or below our requirements; we will do our best to support new technologies and third party software updates but cannot recommend them until they pass our quality assurance tests.

 

To check your browser version:

 

Windows

 

Internet Explorer – Open Internet Explorer and click on the Help Menu, then About Internet Explorer

 

Firefox – Open Firefox and click on the Help Menu, then About Mozilla Firefox

 

Chrome – Open Chrome, and click the button to “Customize and control Google Chrome”, then About Google Chrome.

 

Macintosh

 

Safari – Open Safari and click on the Safari Menu, then About Safari.

 

Firefox – Open Firefox and click on the Firefox Menu, then About Mozilla Firefox or About Firefox

 

Chrome – Open Chrome, and click the button to “Customize and control Google Chrome”, then About Google Chrome.

 

To check your operating system:

 

Windows

 

Right-click on the Computer or My Computer icon on the desktop and choose Properties

 

Macintosh

 

Click on the Apple Menu, then About This Mac or About This Computer

 

To check your version of Adobe Flash Player:

 

Go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. You will be taken to Adobe's web site and you should see a small box displaying your version. If you don't see a version listed, reinstall Adobe Flash Player.
